50m is a fashion concept and initiative offering emerging designers an affordable retail space to sell and present their collections and products in. The name of the store, 50m, references the amount of rail space available to designers.
We were approached to build an Ecommerce site — that allows designers to upload and manage their own products — and to create a bespoke instore RFID system that could gather metrics about the physical items.
The RFID system works with a custom built backend — that the staff at 50m can use to assign each item of clothing with an RFID tag — which sends weekly updates to each of the designers about how people interact with their products instore.
The Ecommerce site builds upon the 50m aesthetic and can be managed by each individual designer — allowing them to keep track of stock, adjust pricing and add new products.
